Tri Shoes What Else Do I Need Besides Road Bike Shoes? Pedals, Cleats?

What else do I need besides road bike shoes? Pedals, cleats? - tri shoes

I am training for my first tri. I bought a used Trek 400 (good? Anyone? Who?) On eBay. Thus now been sent. I know I need walking shoes, but what else? I think not all cycling shoes are fought with all the pedals. Can you tell me what I need? I have the bike and that's all. Thank you!

Middle of the 80-tube of Reynolds 531 and I do not trust? "Steel frame of the time, and almost Shimano SPD pedal or a hand crank or foot pedal Wikipedia Bros. style is all on this bike work, and if the shoe fits on both the pedal and the support system of your choice, you'll be fine. I went with a style terminal Wikipedia: http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Pro ... to start, but for the sort with this pedal: http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Pro ... and run on the boat if I do it because it has a recess to Crank Bros in a shoe MTN bike bracket. The first race will be no learning curve. Do you expect to win on this bike, or take your fitness is still same with others in the Tri. But still have fun and gain experience. I hope they do not pay for the time, about $ 200 for the bike? "

The TREK-400 is a sports model, Opportunities - harder for what you do with it - but because it is the first of the sort, you do not really intend to win - only live!

You need road pedals and road shoes. I suggest that from a position at a time. The Shimano pedals are $ 99 and special shoes that cost $ 89 if purchased with new LBS. Therefore, cheaply bought.

I suggest you invest in a series of clips on aero bars and a helmet. You may also need sunglasses or goggles or other. You also need a bit of gel filling short.

Then, take your bike to your LBS and get it set properly - through editing, and you should be ready to roll, too. Do not lose much time on improving the Trek 400 series - if you really do like Tri Then, you need a tri-bike - a Trek Equinox or Cervelo P-series or something.

Good luck!

If not sure how the bike, but InSystems on what kind of clip you decide to enter into the pedals. The one-sided clip in pedals, which are also competitive cyclists with roads or more cocomfortablePD clip. I use the SPD clip on my racing bike.

Shoes in general, except that each clip of your company uses the pedal and find it. Clips (really sure how he calls it) will not work, despite a brand ... Shimono crandbros, time

Good luck in training
